It can to really bug you when you cut the tip off a new caulk tube and had to scrounge for a nail or screw to puncture the seal. Here’s the solution from reader Gerald Flowers. Drill a small hole in the front lower end of the caulk gun, then slide in a 6-in. piece of coat hanger wire with the end bent to clip on the edge of the gun.
