Ever wonder why you feel so exhilarated and energetic after cleaning the house? Well, there’s actually a scientific reason for it! According to a study conducted by Ipsos on behalf of Mr. Clean, cleaning your house can give you the same adrenaline rush a watching a car race. Especially if you’re using these secret cleaning tips from the pros.

The Cleaning Rush Study says that all of the survey participants (yes, 100 percent) agreed that “cleaning provides peace of mind and a sense of control over one’s environment.” 82 percent said they like admiring their hard work after cleaning, and 81 percent said they felt accomplished after finishing the task. Participants said cleaning makes them feel determined, inspired, proud, less jittery and hostile.

The study also measured two bodily responses to cleaning in order to accurately report on how one feels about the cleaning process. It measured the Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) and Heart Rate (HR), which are both bodily responses that happen without any control by the person. These are also the same responses that create enthusiasm and excitement.

Using this rating, Mr. Clean determined that the act of cleaning results in an adrenaline rush similar to one who participates in a high-intensity activity or sporting event. Like car racing, for interest.

So if you’re looking for a mood booster, maybe a quick clean is just the trick. These 13 quick cleaning tips will clean your house fast, and get you energized!
