Hands-Free Light Hack

Turn a pair of pliers into a flashlight stand. Place the handle of the flashlight in the jaws of the pliers. Wrap a rubber band snugly around the handles of the pliers, keeping the jaws clamped onto the flashlight handle and creating sturdy legs for the now hands-free flashlight.

Adjust the angle that the light points to by moving the pliers along the flashlight handle until it illuminates the area you’re working in. There you have it: an instant hands-free light. When you’re done using it, disassemble the flashlight stand and stash it in your toolbox until next time.
