Got a chair with a wobbly leg? This usually happens because the glue holding the legs and “stretchers” together no longer holds. The best fix is to take the chair apart and glue it back together, but that’s a lot of work. If it’s an old chair and there’s nothing particularly special about it, you can fix it with trim head screws. Just drill pilot holes and “toe-screw” into the loose joints. Be sure to drive the screws in from the bottom so you won’t see them when the chair is upright. If a joint is really loose, you might need to force some epoxy into it to fill the gaps and make the joint stronger.
