Weatherproof Plant Labels
An old window blind can fit in perfectly in the garden
My wife and I share a multi-acre garden with friends, and over the past several years we’ve tried all kinds of products to label the rows, including Sharpie permanent markers, UV-resistant markers and even plain pencil. But none of them could stand up to constant sun and moisture. We finally discovered the solution: a label maker and recycled vinyl window blinds. I cut the slats into 9-in. lengths and stick on the labels. They stand up to any kind of weather without smearing, dissolving or rotting away. — Mike Murdock
