How Google Home Works
Google Home runs using a virtual assistant named Google Assistant. Basically, you can say voice commands and the assistant will do whatever you command. Each command must start with, “Hey, Google,” so that the assistant knows you are about to tell it to do something. Then you can ask Google Assistant what the weather is going to be like, how the traffic will be on your commute, to start a grocery list for you and much more.
Many smart home devices are compatible with Google Assistant. This means that you can control these devices using voice commands and the Google Home speaker. For example, you can turn lights and appliances on and off with just your voice, or even unlock your front door if you have a smart lock.

What Devices are Compatible with Google Home?

Is Google Home a Good Speaker for Music?
For most people, Google Home has decent sound. If you turn it up high, though, the sound loses quality. If you’re picky about how your music sounds, you may want to upgrade to the Google Home Max.
