Hart 20V Hammer Drill

This cordless drill is part of Walmart’s new line of Hart Tools. In the “best on a budget” class this is a great do-it-all drill driver. It does everything a standard drill driver would, plus can drill through concrete, brick and masonry when in hammer mode. It has two speeds and a 24-position clutch for adjusting torque while driving fasteners. Other key features are the one-half inch metal chuck, an LED light to see what your doing, and an auxiliary handle for control during high torque situations. The kit comes with one battery and the charger. If you need a reliable drill around the house to capably handle most chores, this is the best bang for your buck.

DeWalt 20V Max XR

Of all the drills out there, this may be the one most sought out by pros. It has a smart compact design, just about seven inches front to back, and is lightweight at just under 3-1/2 lbs. The brushless motor drives a two-speed transmission that maxes out at 2000 RPM. There’s a three-mode LED light with a spotlight mode that runs for 20 minutes before shutoff. DeWalt doesn’t mess around, they are constantly innovating and improving their cordless tools to make them the most competent and reliable available. As DeWalt says, this cordless drill is “guaranteed tough.”
