What You’ll Need:
- Scrapbook paper in assorted colors
- Color copies of yellowed book pages and newspaper
- Scrapbook scissors with specialty edges
- Scalloped circle punch
- Double-stick tape
- Straight pins
- White pumpkins
- Or here’s a bright idea: Clean and thoroughly dry orange pumpkins before spray-painting them white
Step 1. Sketch a design on paper for the owl’s face and wings. Using regular and specialty scissors and a circle punch, cut designs from scrapbook paper and photocopied pages. Consider cutting multiple layers for each element, layering them for the desired effect. Cut fringe on the edges of the top layer of the wings for feathers, if desired.
Step 2. Layer designs using small pieces of double-stick tape.
Step 3. Secure pieces to pumpkins with straight pins. If desired, use pins with decorative heads for additional embellishment.
